Becca Haydu
Becca Haydu is a photographer and videographer based in Philadelphia. She is a graduate of the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies at Maine College of Art, where she earned a graduate certificate in Visual Storytelling. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Ecology from College of the Atlantic. As an independent visual storyteller, Becca has worked with WHYY Philadelphia, Sundance Film Festival, ITV News (UK), National Public Radio, and more.

In 2020, ICE detained an immigrant mother as she was taking her child to school. The community, along with JUNTOS, responded by organizing a campaign to create Sanctuary Schools to address the education inequities that uniquely affect children with immigrant parents. On June 2021, the Philadelphia Board of Education approved the Sanctuary School Resolution.

Community fridges have popped up all across Philadelphia in a time where Mutual Aid resources have become more crucial than ever. Philadelphia's long standing history with Mutual Aid societies has served as a catalyst for these modern resources, and has inspired the creation of The People’s Fridge by two sisters in West Philly and South Philadelphia Community Fridge.
Taller Puertorriqueño commemorates five decades of service to the art and culture of the Latino community with an exhibition that pays tribute to an outstanding Boricua artist who is also celebrating her 50th birthday, Betsy Casañas. The “Call & Response” exhibit presents various works by Casanas, who shares a special bond with Taller.
